Release 2.0

Avaya Vantage™ Release 2.0 was made generally available in September 2018; Release 2.0 Feature Pack 1 (2.0.1) was issued in March 2019. This is NOT the latest release of Avaya Vantage. The latest release is recommended for new development.

Important The following end of sale and end of support dates have been announced for Avaya Vantage Release 2.x:
  • End of sale: December 13, 2021
  • End of support: January 31, 2023
Additional information about the end of sale and end of support dates can be found here. For all new development, Avaya recommends that developers use the latest release of Avaya Vantage.

Features in the new release

Release 2.0.1 (2.0.1.0.0604 Build)

Avaya Vantage™ Connect (formerly Avaya Vantage™ Basic) incorporates the following new and enhanced capabilities:

  • Rebranding of Avaya Vantage Basic as Avaya Vantage Connect.
  • Open SIP basic support for third-party call control deployments – Broadsoft support including basic audio and video calls, hold/resume, transfer, WEBRTC, 3-way local conferencing, emergency number, session timer.
  • LDAP directory search support.

Release 2.0 (2.0.0.0.0411 Build)

Avaya Vantage Basic includes the following new and enhanced features:

  • Vantage K155 support.

As of April 30, 2019, Avaya has removed availability of the sample code for the Avaya Vantage Connect (formerly Avaya Vantage Basic) Client. Developers should refer to content related to the Avaya Breeze Client SDK for code samples that will work with the Android-based Avaya Vantage device. If/when Avaya provides additional code samples specific to Avaya Vantage devices, announcements will be made on the DevConnect Portal.
