Release 2.2

Avaya Vantage Release 2.2 was made generally available in October 2019; Service Pack 1 (Release 2.2.0.1) was issued in January 2020; Service Pack 2 (Release 2.2.0.2) was issued in February 2020; Service Pack 3 (Release 2.2.0.3) was issued in April 2020; Service Pack 4 (Release 2.2.0.4) was issued in September 2020; Service Pack 5 (Release 2.2.0.5) was issued in December 2020; Service Pack 6 (Release 2.2.0.6) was issued in August 2021. This is NOT the latest release of Avaya Vantage. The latest release is recommended for new development.

Important The following end of sale and end of support dates have been announced for Avaya Vantage Release 2.x:
  • End of sale: December 13, 2021
  • End of support: January 31, 2023
Additional information about the end of sale and end of support dates can be found here. For all new development, Avaya recommends that developers use the latest release of Avaya Vantage.

Avaya Vantage Connect Release 2.2.0.6

This Service Pack release adds:

  • Support for automatic pairing of the Avaya Vantage Expansion module to the Avaya Vantage Connect UC application upon reboot.
  • Updated Android security patches.

Avaya Vantage Connect Release 2.2.0.5

This Service Pack release includes Arabic translations.

Avaya Vantage Connect Release 2.2.0.4

This Service Pack release delivers fix content.

Avaya Vantage Connect Release 2.2.0.3

This Service Pack release includes:

  • Presence support.
  • Support for Block Camera or Mute Microphone when joining meetings.
  • Avaya Vantage Expansion application support for IP Office features and buttons.

Avaya Vantage Connect Release 2.2.0.1 and 2.2.0.2

These Service Pack releases deliver fix content only.

Avaya Vantage Connect Release 2.2.0.0

Avaya Vantage Connect (formerly Avaya Vantage Basic) Release 2.2.0.0 includes the following new features:

  • Bridge appearance support.
  • Calendar integration.

  • Hot dial support.
  • USB headset call control support.

This Service Pack release includes the following:

  • TLS_VERSION Default updated to 1 for both Avaya Vantage and Avaya Vantage Connect.
  • Retrieval of time from HTTP/HTTPS file server, for use should SNTP servers not be responsive to Avaya Vantage.
  • Support for Provisioning Enrollment Code (PEC) – 12 numeric enrollment code for Device Enrollment Service (DES) by Avaya Vantage.
  • Presence Support.
  • Cordless Handset configuration update.

Avaya Vantage Software Release 2.2.0.0

Avaya Vantage Release 2.2.0.0 includes the following new and enhanced features:

  • Support of IPv6 on Ethernet interfaces, excluding WiFi.
  • Call control using Bluetooth and USB headsets.
  • FIPS 140-2 support.
  • Traditional Chinese support.
  • Configuration of DSCPAUD, DSCPSIG, DSCPVID using LLDP or 46xxsettings.txt file.

As of April 30, 2019, Avaya has removed availability of the sample code for the Avaya Vantage Connect (formerly Avaya Vantage Basic) Client. Developers should refer to content related to the Avaya Client SDK (formerly Avaya Breeze Client SDK) for code samples that will work with the Android-based Avaya Vantage device. If/when Avaya provides additional code samples specific to Avaya Vantage devices, announcements will be made on the DevConnect Portal.
