Note: All developer resources for the Customer Interaction Express interfaces, including developer documentation, are included with the product (on the product DVD image) and are not available separately from the DevConnect portal.

IMPORTANT The following end of sale and end of support dates have been announced for Avaya Customer Interaction Express.

Release 3.4.x

Customer Interaction Express Release 3.4.8 was made generally available in September 2022. This is the latest release of the Customer Interaction Express and is recommended for new development. This feature rich release includes chat, E-mail, wallboard, UI, and security enhancements. Avaya recommends that all CIE customers come up to this distribution level as soon as possible to ensure they have a complete set of enhancements and quality improvements.

Release 3.3

Customer Interaction Express Release 3.3 was made generally available in October 2015. TOM is no longer supported. For details of new features in the release, see:

Release 3.2.x

Customer Interaction Express Service Pack Release 3.2.3 was issued in May 2015. Customer Interaction Express Release 3.2.2 was made generally available in August 2014. WebServices for all task types (telephony, E-mail and chat) are available. TOM is no longer part of the product; TOM is supported for legacy customers only.

DevConnect supports developers using the Telephony Object Model API in the following releases of Customer Interaction Express:

Release 3.1.x

Customer Interaction Express Release 3.1.2 was made generally available in October 2013. Web Services for Telephony was introduced, so in Customer Interaction Express Release 3.1 TOM and Web Services are available.

Release 3.0.x

Customer Interaction Express Release 3.0.1 was made generally available in August 2012; Service Pack Release 3.0.3 was issued in July 2013:

Customer Interaction Express Release 2.1 was made generally available in January 2012; Service Pack Release 2.1.1 was issued in October 2012:

Customer Interaction Express Release 2.0 was made generally available in December 2010; Service Pack Release 2.0.1 was issued in April 2011. CIE Release 2.0 and all later releases are marketed in Germany only and are not available globally:
