Release 7.2

Avaya Interaction Center 7.2 was released in May 2009. Service Pack 7 was issued in August 2014. Release 7.2 is NOT the latest release of Avaya Interaction Center: it is recommended that the latest release be used for new development.

IMPORTANT The following end of sale and end of support dates have been announced:
  • End of sale: April 2, 2012
  • End of support: July 31, 2014

New in Release 7.2

Avaya Interaction Center Release 7.2 includes the following new and enhanced features:

  • Updates and additions to the Client SDK interfaces:
    • The Workitem, MediaInteraction, ChatMediaInteraction, MediaInteractionList interfaces are now enabled to handle multimedia work items.
    • The Session, ChatMediaInteraction interface is modified to enable Supervisor functionality.
    • The User interface is modified to provide supervisor information like name and status.
    • The VoiceMediaInteraction interface is modified to support Swap Held functionality.
    • The CallOptions interface is added to support multimedia functionality.
    • The ParticipantList interface is added to represent a list of participants working on an interaction.
  • New functionality available in the Avaya Web Client and the Client SDK, including: join us, chat and callback, VoIP, collaborative form filling, supervisor control and shared browsing.
  • The ability to invoke Web services from within workflows.
  • Integration with Dialog Designer (Avaya Orchestration Designer) to support Voice Portal (Avaya Experience Portal) and Interactive Response applications. The new HttpVOX server processes requests from Voice Portal or Interactive Response over the HTTP protocol.
  • Support for third-party, single-step conferencing.
