Hi all,
I should start a "consultation call" but giving a promt to the called person before to complete the conference with the caller. I checked the CTI Consultation call item but not undestranding how to do that.
My question is, can I use the "consultation call" item to do that?

My understanding is that consult call only allows you to get back control if the transfer fails. Whereas a bling transfer the call is gone. It is sort of like a bridge transfer but in bridged transfer you always get the call back. In consult, you only get control back of the call if there is a failure transferrint the call.

To play an announcement to the caller you would have to likely do that in ccxml.

before to start implementing the application with the ccxml, I was thinking to another solution and I'll try to summarize in steps:

Using the CTI connector items,
1) "hold" (the caller)
2) "dial" (a new number)
3) on "state = established" -> play the announcement
4) "transfer" or "conference"
