Hello,

We got "an exception of the type Avaya.ClientServices.CallFailureException was triggered" while we were trying to switch lines between two calls by unholding one of the calls.
This caused the call state for both calls not to get updated correctly (both got the state established) and further interaction with them were not properly possible.

Is there a way to get around this?

Can you please provide logs by setting log level to Debug ?

Also can you please provide info if telecommuting device that you are using is mobile/PSTN device or SIP client ?

We are using a mobile device for the telecommuting device.
Logs are attached.

You can see the error that we get around 14:11:53,422 when switching to call 1 and around 14:12:01,652 when switching to call 2.

Thanks for logs.

Unfortunately logs don't show SIP messages.

Have you set LogLevel to Debug ?

Can you please check again ? Please also capture SM logs.

I included the SIP messages in a new log file.

The error is around 2020-10-26 16:17:09,090 when switching to Call 1 and around 2020-10-26 16:17:17,254 when switching back to Call 2

I am seeing error:

As error is in German language , can you please provide exact failure error code you are getting ?

It is not clear from logs about cause of failure.

I only got these three entries from the CallFailureException object, the other attributes are null:

CallFailureException error.Message: Eine Ausnahme vom Typ "Avaya.ClientServices.CallFailureException" wurde ausgelöst.
CallFailureException error.HResult: -2146233088
CallFailureException error.Reason: InProgress

you can find the in the attached log.

Can you please provide following info ?

1) Issue seems to be for first call not getting in held state. Is that right ?

2) Issue seems to be occurring because of multiple INVITEs for call shuffling by CM. Just to confirm are you waiting for second call to be established before unholding first call.


Meantime I will check with R and D team if this is known issue.

1) Yeah sometimes I don't get the held state of one of the calls when switching back and forth.

2) Yeah I am waiting for one call to be established before unholding the other call.

1) can you please try checking this issue by disabling Direct media on CM?

2) Can you please provide CSDK version ?

3) Can you please provide SM trace along with client logs?

We are using version 4.9.0

The logs also contains incoming events that we are getting. You can look at the status changes by searching for OneCall_StateChanged.
At some point we get sometimes the State:FarEndRenegotiating back.

I checked with R&D team and they have not seen this issue with recent releases.

To raise bug with R&D, can you please provide following info ?

1) SM trace captured using traceSM with corresponding client log

2) Can you please try disabling direct media on CM and check if issue occurs?
