How can I handle errors when I building HTML 5 applications?

Sample error that I want to handle:

HTTP Status 500 - com.avaya.sce.runtimecommon.SCERuntimeException: Runtime Error, session lost while application was executing in EnviarPesquisa

This is a special type of error. It happens because the session has been lost due to idling or user has left or closed the browser without hitting the exit node. Therefore it has to be handling different than other application error. Please refer to the ppt slides attached on how this error can be handled.
