Hi,

We are running on following:
App Server: Tomcat 8 and 7
OD7: 7.10.12.02.p2
Experience Portal 7.0.1
JDK: Oracle 8

We are periodically seeing some performance issues in our test environment. During these period we are seeing EPBatchLogWriterThread using large amount of CPU and memory through Oracle java Mission Control. We have logging disabled in VPAppLogClient.log4j.properties, so not sure why this is happening. The problem seems to appear, and then clear up on it own. Sometimes the system requires a recycle. Attached are some screen prints. Any input on what is causing the issue and possible resolution would really be appreciated.

Best Regards,
Miki

The thread is responsible for sending all the report items to EPM when it accumulates certain amount of the report entries from all the apps on the app server. So it is normal to see CPU ramping up from time to time.
