We installed Orchestration Designer on WindowsXP Professional SP3, and attempt updating Orchestration Designer SP3.
But when updating, occured following errors

-----------------
Cannot complete the request. See the error log for details.
Avaya Aura Orchestration Designer Self Service will be ignored because it is already installed, and updates are not permitted.
Avaya Aura Orchestration Designer Call Control(CCXML) will be ignored because it is already installed, and updates are not permitted.
Avaya ADE Framework will be ignored because it is already installed, and updates are not permitted.
Avaya Aura Orchestration Designer Developer Guide will be ignored because it is already installed, and updates are not permitted.
-----------------

Why these errors occured?
Please tell us advice.

What that is saying is you already have SP3 installed.

Thank you for your reply.
We check the version, but it shows "6.0.0.0901".

You could try a clean install and just use the SP3 to install OD. That is install the prerequisits then use the sp3 jar for the OD part. We have not seen any issues installing service packs before and including 6.0 SP3.

Thank you your advice.
We tried clean install but it was still occered same errors.

1. OS environment
VMWare on Windows2000 and WindowsXP Professional SP3 on VMWare.

2. event
We try to install OD6.0(6.0.0.0901) on WindowsXP Professional SP3 and it is successful.
After that, we try to install OD6.0 SP3(6.0.0.1301) and occured following errors.

3. Question
It shows "already installed." , does OD check files on WindowsXP ?
Please tell us where files does OD check ?

We would be grateful for your support.

We are at a loss as to why this is happening. Can you provide any screen shots of where the errors appear and possible the .log file in your workspace in the .metadata directory. Any other information you can provide would be helpful.

I posted the previous reply, forgot to login.

Also, you can just instal the prerequisits and install SP 3 directly with out the prior OD. Each SP is a fully complete install and NOT incremental.

All versioning for OD been done via Eclipse, so if you have installed 6.0 build 0901 you may run Eclipse Update using JAR file 6.0.0.1301 located in the pdateSites directory of 6.0 SP3 DV

Thanks your advices.
We run Eclipse Update using JAR file 6.0.0.1301 located in the OD6.0 SP3 DVD, but it occured same errors.

When we try install to 2 set of PC (WindowsXP Professional SP3 on VMWare), both it occured errors.
But we install to other PC(not on VMWare), we can install and update SP3.

Errors show "already installed." , when SP3 update , does OD check files on WindowsXP ?

I think there is some confusion here. There is no DVD to install the AAOD 6.0 SP3. The DVD image only contains 6.0.0.0901. Only install Eclipse from the DVD. After that within eclipse, goto Install New Software -> Available Software Sites and enable the site http://support.avaya.com/OrchestrationDesigner/SS/Updates/. Now select that site from the "Work with" dropdown list and uncheck "Contact all update sites..." and proceed to install 6.0.0.1301. Even if you have already installed 6.0.0.0901, follow the above steps to update to 6.0.0.1301.

Please let me know if you dont follow this or need more help.
