Please try a comma.

I got the following exception when tried with comma.

" is either an invalid extension or is busy"

The comma should put 1.5 secs of wait in the dial string. Have you tried the call through the AE Services Management Console TSAPI test diagnostic tool?

Login to Application Enablement Services Management Console.

Go to Utilities -> Diagnostics -> AE Server -> TSAPI Test

I tried to use the 6.2 AE Services Telephony Web Service TelSvcGuiClient to place a call from x32001 to x32002. Then I changed to dial from x32001 to x32,,,,,,,,,,002 ; while there was no delay in the dialing the call did go through.

I suspect pause (the comma) is only applicable on calls placed out a trunk interface, and further may only be applicable on certain trunk types, or certain calling scenarios (e.g. once ARS digit requirements are met).

Pause insertion only applies in end to end signalling cases (e.g. interfacing to a far end Interactive voice response device like voice mail, or voice portal). The duration in some cases (some trunk types) it's duration is controllable via a setting on the trunk form

Programmed Dial Pause(msec):
