Dear Avaya Team,
IVR team is working on avoiding single point of failure on webLM. If my webLM for some reason is not accessible then my IVR calls would fail. Is there any way of having OD license installed on my application tomcat server itself? Or any possibilities of having one more as backup license server?

Which one you recommend?

The call should not fail if the weblm is down temporarily. There is a 30-day grace period, and the timer gets reset once the weblm is back up. So I am not sure why you need a backup. You could setup weblm on any Tomcat server and configure OD to use it instead of the one on EP. But you can only have one configured, no such thing as backup.

Thanks Wilson.

I have couple of queries-

1.May I know why do we need OD license during runtime? Who is the consumer of this license? MPP or EPM?
2.Can we run OD 6 code on AEP 7 and having OD 6 license configured on webLM? Any issues in future?
3.How often webLm is contacted for OD license during run time? Every hour or once in 30 days?

Thanking again.

1. The OD runtime framework needs to have the OD licenses in order to function.
2. Yes, any OD license should work regardless of the versions.
3. The first call on top of every hour
