In Avaya CM, we have the hair pinning functionality and if disabled, the internal calls will be going through the gateways. Is there any option in Nortel CS1000 to achieve this similar capability?

Don't think so. To the best of my knowledge the CS1K uses direct-media/no-shuffling for any calls except TDM (where a DSP resource is required) and, has no setting to configure that. However, I would say that the best option is to direct this question to your service provider as I'm not an expert (and only answer because there's no other response here). Otherwise, I can only point you to the CS1K documentation, "IP Peer Networking Installation and Commissioning" which, I think, supports my previous feeling that it's not configurable.
