Hello Experts,
we received a request from an AEP 7.2.x customer that would like to integrate a third party virtual assistant with our IVR.
This virtual assistant should interact with AEP via web services JSON.
As a part of the protocol they expect that AEP will call a web service passing some parameters and the audio file (spoken from the caller) using the base64 coding.
At the same time AEP should convert the answer from the Virtual Assistant, retrieved from the JSON message, into an audio to be played back to the caller.
Is this a thing that AEP can do?
While for the answer from the Virtual Assistant is quite clear how to convert the Base64 encoded audio into a voice message, is is not clear to me how to send the caller voice to the Virtual Assistant using a JSON and a Base64 encoding.
Could you please help me in clarifying this?
Is this something you have already seen?

thanks and regards,
Roberto

Hi Roberto, the answer to your question is : Yea, AEP can do with a JSON file.

We should clarify the base64 encoding. To go deeper, might you contact me tomorrow when free for call? My emal is: croci1@avaya,com
