Our application continuously sending attQueryACDSplit() request to the switch with the average delay of 300 ms between each request. It continues for 10 request and there is a gap of 10 sec, again the same process repeated.

Over a period of time say about 3 to 4 hours, we are experiencing there is no response from switch for the any request, and there is no events received also. From that time heartbeat request also got failed. This results closing the application link and reopening again to continue.

What could be the reason for this behaviour? Suggest me if there is any change in our application in sending the request

I doubt it has to do with your polling behavior.

Which link is failing?.. the one between your application and AE Services or the link between AE Services and Communication Manager? It sounds like the switch connection is failing from your description, although restarting the application link would have no impact on that (however the switch connection would be automatically trying to reconnect and thus you may get things working again by virtue of the timing of what is happening).

Once the failure is seen you should examine the log.YYYYMMDD file on AE Services to look for AE Services - Communication Manager issues, and (assuming you have already enabled TSAPI tracing - search the FAQs for 'tracemask') the /opt/mvap/logs/TSAPI/* logs for evidence of the issue between AE Services and your application.

Out of curiosity.. what OS are you running on? We have very infrequently seen a problem with Windows 2003 Server that behaves somewhat like you describe.

And for clarity what version of what SDK are you using, and what AE Services release are you running. Thanks
