Hi,

Environment : Voice Portal 5.0
The IVR application configured on the Voice Portal is
configured on Load Balancing mode.

Given above is the VP/IVR app setup used at the Customer
site. And there is a concern about the requests being sent
to verify the VPMS & DD Runtime license information for
every call that is being handled by the VoicePortal. All
these requests for license checks seem to cause extra
bandwidth or consume some amount of processing time. Could you please suggest a mechanism in which we can control the frequency of the requests to verify the VPMS/DD Runtime license..?

Also let us know the frequency in which the VPMS license &
the DD Runtime licenses are verified from the WebLM
server..? Is the WebLM server contacted for each request /
each call / or any other value..? Also if a request to the
license server fails/times-out, how many more times will the
request be resent..?

Kindly let me know if you require any further information
about the setup inorder to help us out.

Thanks,
Vignesh Dhandapani

I did not see any dedicated forums for Avaya Voice Portal on the Forums main page. If the part of the question involving VoicePortal license checks need to be posted in a different forum, kindly provide the link.

DD cache the license for 30 days before refreshing. I am not sure about VP. You can call the support.
