This is what i ended up doing and it worked. Thanks for the insight.

Basically navigate to the tomcat app manager page, click deploy, and browse to the .war file im deploying. That then takes the war file and puts it on the server in the tomcat folder. Maybe that change cannot be made unless tomcat services are stopped.

I saw that box, didnt check it thinking that all it does is taking the settings you have in the ddrt file and revert them to defaults, didnt realize it had an effect on whether you were able to modify those settings once the war file is deployed on the app server. Ill give it a go.

In the eclispe environment, i can change the file from read only to read/write and turn on the trace options, but once the file is deployed on a tomcat server it is set to read only and i cannot change it to read/write to change it and make it start writing. Can someone help me understand how this is done once the app is deployed on a tomcat server?

Sorry for the late response, I found this out the same day i replied. Had the driver class name from a source other than Microsoft and copied it incorrectly. Changed to this, all is well now. Thanks.

I loaded driver, tested connection, but every time i try to import a database operation into my speech project and i select the database to use i get an error. Cant figure it out. Keeps telling me JDBC Driver Class (com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver) can not be loaded. Refers me to Window->Preferences->Avaya Aura -> Orchestration Designer ->Database. I already have the driver specified there. Any Ideas?
