We are trying to use the Telephony web service to replicate softphone telecommute mode capability, specifically to place a call between an originating number defined by the user (e.g. their cell phone) and the destination.
The problem is that it appears that the originating number must be a physical device (phone). I've tried doing this in combination with ec500, but in this case the call goes out to the destination number but NOT to the ec500 associated cell phone.
Is there a better way to achieve this requirement??

You can use the system management service (SMS) web service. The StationStatus model will give you the MAC address as one of (many fields)

I'm guessing that the reply depends on the release of your PBX. Have you tried to do a disp capacity on the PBX to see if these fields exist? What release of ACM are you on?

I am unable to get SMS authentication to work when using an ASG key. The SMS usage notes indicate that an ASG key can be used in the password field and that AES would negotiate the challenge response, but this isn't working for me.
I am using ACM 5.1 and AES 4.2. I am using sms_test.php and the authentication is failing.

When trying to do a list station using SMS against a PBX with approx 20,000 stations, I receive the following error:
"Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted"
Is this something that can be addressed in the AES configuration (to allow an increased memory size), or would it require a path of some sort?

We are looking for a method to pull a list of extensions based on the value of a certain field, such as IP_Softphone. I've tried for example setting the Qualifier to "IP_Softphone=y" and that doesn't seem to work. My second choice would be to just do a list station and specify IP_Softphone as one of the fields for output and that doesn't work either.
I'm basically looking for a way to pull either a list of all stations with softphone or a list of all stations on the system, but with the softphone field present in the list, and neither seems to work.
It looks like the only option might be to do a display station against every station on the system. If I had to run this every day against a PBX with 20,000 stations I'm just worried about how long it would take to complete.

It's not clear from the SMS docs how one woul change buttons on the station form. For example, I would like to add a bridge appearance to button 6. I see reference in the schema tables to Button_data_1 though 6, but it's not clear how to use. We would need to define "brdg-appr" in one field, the bridged extension in another, and the appearance number in a third (all related to button 6 in this example). Is this possible?

Are there plans to support SSL based authentication? Static username and password is undesirable. Are there any other options available?

It would be quite handy to have access to the capacity tables from SMS. Especially licensed stations, agents, spare licenses, etc so that we can do a periodic pull directly into our management pages.
