Hi John, yes I setup CDR1 as the primary output endpoint, configured as unformatted, and confirmed that intra-switch CDR = Y under system parameters.
My IP-Services form is:
CDR1 procr 0 my-remote 9000
I did a busy-out and release just for good measure, but no luck.

I am trying to collect CDR using BDE like I do on customer Avaya's. I have my RSP cheatsheet that works on a real Avaya, but am confused by the BDE. When configuring "Change IP-Services" to add CDR1 service type, is my local node (C-LAN) "procr" ? I guessed so, but my software on the other end @ port 9000 tells me it is waiting for the Avaya to connect and it never does...a "test cdr-link primary" from BDE fails so I must have something wrong. I can PING from both ends so no firewall issues....any ideas ? thanks.

FYI - This was determined by Technical Support to be a problem not limited to BDE. They tested in AE Services 6.2 and confirmed that the issues reported are also occurring in the latest release. A ticket has been sent to development.

John - using the smsxml_test.php program I can do a LIST operation on the model BCMSTrunkReport with a qualifier 1 for most fields, but not field Number_Of_Trunks, Date, Group, or Group_Name. If I list any of those individually I get back '' (null) or if I add them to other valid fields like Incoming_Calls (which returns #'s by itself) then I get "Fault: Call to member function addChild() on non-object". Any ideas? Thanks,Scott

No definitely not an AE issue, seems more browser related....I am not complaining and am happy to leave off the port. I think that the SOAP/XML interface is going to be very useful. Thanks again.

Wow, it certainly does work well with that link...I had copy & pasted the link from the PDF and it will not work with the port specified for some reason (e.g https://1.1.1.1:443/smsxml/smsxml_test.php) but works fine without it.
This looks promising, thanks again John.

Is SMS web service supported in BDE? Trying to follow the Web services setup guide PDF and the System Management Service RPM: aesvcs-sms-<version numebr>.<build
number> doe not appear to be installed as part of AES. The PDF indicates that they should be present. Thanks.

Thanks James, so it is a real AS5300 you got under the Nortel developer program that has no real trunking capabilities?

Not to hijack this post, but where do I find out more about this AS5300 simulator ? DevConnect comes up with only this forum post.

Hi John,
1) SETUP SYSTEM PRINTER (3 steps)
Add SYS_PRNT to "node-names ip" with the IP assigned to the printer
Add SYS_PRNT to ip-services - see below
IP SERVICES
Service Enabled Local Local Remote Remote
Type Node Port Node Port
-----------------------------------------------
SYS_PRNT procr 0 sys_prnt 9100
Add SYS_PRNT to "cha system-parameters feature" page 5
Once the system printer is setup, you can add reports to the report scheduler (aka direct output to system printer) by entering (for example):
LIST node-names all schedule
Next, a screen will appear allowing you to change the Print Interval from the default of "Immediate" to "Scheduled" or "Deferred" then just kick back and wait until the next quarter-hour, checking the Job status with:
LIST report-scheduler
to see the job go from "Waiting" to "Print Next", but never "Printing".
2) I am back to just trying to get my output on a networked printer, nothing special at this time. Decided I better get the basics tested first.

My system printer works fine when printing reports using schedule + immediate, but if I try "deferred" or "scheduled" the job goes to Status "print next" but no further. I now have 3 scheduled jobs and 1 deferred job sitting in the queue and I can continue to print using schedule+immediate, but many 15min cycles have passed with my 4 other jobs never being printed. Can you please test inhouse ?

Is it possible to set the date and time within BDE? I tried from the CM6 linux prompt but was told the "Operation not permitted". I tried from CM web interface > Server Maintenance but I can only check the time/date not change.

I thought I was losing my mind trying to ping from SAT - glad you could reproduce it. Once I gave up on ping testing first, I was able to busyout sp-link and then release and test it before successfully sending a list node-names to the printer. Now on to sending some traffic to the printer....tomorrow hopefully....thanks again for testing the procr limitation.

I followed the steps in the PDF for bridging to a corporate network last week. My PC is 192.168.100.2 and the BDE and VM workstation are on a W2K8 R2 server (192.168.100.12) on the same domain. VMnet0 was/is set to Bridged. Since pg 14 said the default gateway was the "VMware host PC address" I set the gateway to 192.168.100.12 using sudo in both CM and AES.
