Quick queestion... I have read the FAQs but still have issue.
In the Tsapi dev reference it says that by using the command cstaMonitorCallsViaDevice, that i can monitor either VDNs or Skills.
However, my code fails to monitor a Skill. Is there any reason for this? Or can you point me to some info.
Thanks.
Rich.

Sorry if this is the wrong forum, but i could not find one for Communication Manager. I am happy to repost, if you direct me to the correct place.
However, i am looking for an answer on the following question...
My client has the leading digit stripped from the ANI before recieving the call from their carrier, and this is a Zero. I would like for them to add back in that digit for my application to get a complete ANI, but i am told that doing so would impact their current site.
So is thre another way to get it done?
For instance, could i get them to add in that leading number inside a VDN?
Many Thanks,
Rich.

Hi,
I am new to IVR deployment and have not found enough material to answer my question.
My client has a runtimeconfig.war already deployed on their Tomcat 5.x Server. And i have my own for my application. Do i need to replace theirs with mine? Or is there a way of merging them.
Thanks,
Rich.

Hi John,
I am running it on Desktop hardware with plenty of RAM that runs a VMware environment. And there is plently of horse power for the CM and Host. However, with what i have experienced, it does seem to feel like a timeout.
For the audit, if you are refering to a Linux audit then i will see if i can start one with the privileges i have when i restart DADS.
Thanks!!

Hi,
I have been trying to load test my application and i have noticed that DADS does not run longer than 2 or 3 days.
Basically i find DADS still open but screen is blank. If i try restarting DADS i then receive an error message "Could not connect: Could not get I/O (Connection refused: connect)(vfm #0)". The only resolution at the moment is to reboot the CM and AES.
Is there something i can do to make it run any longer?
Thanks,
Rich.

Hi,
I would like help with a question that may be more tricky than it sounds...
Before my question, assume that i have 2 CTI Links, one is DMCC and the other is ASAI. And the AES uses the last one for TSAPI.
Then, if i had a phone that was being controlled via CTI (DMCC) and i was then trying to monitor this phone extension via TSAPI. Would i see any Tsapi messages??
Thanks,
Rich.

Hi,
I have been on site and have been troubleshooting my TSAPI application that sets itself up to monitor a number of devices and to receive System level messages (Link Up/Down).
I have a TSAPI/TLink that I have confirmed on both sides (My app vs AES OAM page) that I am logged into, but when I monitor just one Phone I do not get any Tsapi messages when I should be getting many. I have looked at the AES OAM page and see only 17 messages being exchanged between AES and CM for the whole day, but this does not appear to be from any stimuli due to my application.
I have tested my application within my own Environment using the Aura BDE, and im happy to say all is fine.
As my application is successfully connected to the AES Server via Tsapi, I think I have ruled out my application as having any issues, being with it works on another Environment (BDE).
So it appears that the CM/AES is not sending any TSAPI messages? I would like some help or any kind of references as to what needs to be configured on CM/AES so that 1) TSAPI Messages are being generated and 2) My application receives them.
Many Thanks!!!
Rich.

Hi Martin,
Thanks for your advice and great idea about the loopback trunk (if i knew i would have got that done sooner), but i not sure if it is working for TSAPI.
I found the FAQ you referred to, but it configures the loopback Trunk for SIP or H.323. I dont think this will work, will it? As i have followed the FAQ and have the trunk in an idle state but i still dont see any Trunk Group/Member information.
So i now have a new loopback trunk entry "loopback3" (on TrunkGrp 16). I try to do the command when i have a call up "status trunk 16", but the trunk members remain idle. Am i correct in looking here to see if my call is using the loopback Trunk i created?
Thanks,
Rich.

Hi,
Maybe a simple question...
What is the best way to get Trunk Group/Member information via Tsapi?
Also, am i able to get this information from what is setup out-of-the-box with the Aura BDE? I see that there are trunks configured, but not sure how to get a call on them using what i have (IP Agent softphones).
Thanks,
Rich.

Hi,
I am trying to put together a virtual Call Center environment to test what I have using the Avaya BDE, and I would like to create at least 1000 Agents/Stations for use with DADS. I have been playing with DADS and it does not seem to give me enough throughput. If my calculations are correct I can only get approx. 16 messages per second and I need to achieve at least 150 to 250 messages per second.
This leads me to a few questions:
1. Can DADS handle 1000 stations?
2. How can I bulk create these stations?
I have been reading the following PDF "03-300509.pdf" (Administering Avaya Aura?
Communication Manager) and it is saying how to bulk create endpoints via the System Manager interface. However, I cannot seem to even get the login of the System Manager. Am I able to access this with what I have?
Thanks,
Rich.
