Hi John,
The application is TSAPI (not CVLAN).
All I can see in the log.20120803 around the time of the route end event is this:
15:29:08 ERROR:CRITICAL:TSAPI:g3pderr:E_CRITICAL:L 194:C 29:[UFAILURE.CPP]: AAO (id=0) cannot locate object [CAS:0].
15:30:20 ERROR:FYI:asailink:hold_message:Association crv(0b, fffffff0) does not exist, and received RELCOM(5a)
15:30:20 ERROR:FYI:asailink:hold_message:No application for message -- ABORT crv(0b, fffffff0) on node signal33 TSAPI AES/1
15:30:21 ERROR:FYI:asailink:hold_message:Association crv(0b, fffffff1) does not exist, and received RELCOM(5a)
15:30:21 ERROR:FYI:asailink:hold_message:No application for message -- ABORT crv(0b, fffffff1) on node signal33 TSAPI AES/1
15:30:57 ERROR:CRITICAL:TSAPI:g3pderr:E_CRITICAL:L 194:C 29:[UFAILURE.CPP]: AAO (id=0) cannot locate object [CAS:0].
15:32:35 ERROR:FYI:asailink:hold_message:Association crv(0d, ffffff90) does not exist, and received RELCOM(5a)
15:32:35 ERROR:FYI:asailink:hold_message:No application for message -- ABORT crv(0d, ffffff90) on node signal33 TSAPI AES/1
the route end event is received by the TSAPI application within less than 100 ms of the application sending the route request. The vector has a wait 2 seconds step after the adj route step, so that s well within the time of the wait step.
What else can I check to verify if there is any socket error?
AES release is 4.2
Many thanks

Occasionally, after a route select request ( cstaRouteSelectInv ) for a connected call, the application immediately receives a route end event with the errorValue of 2 (requestIncompatibleWithObject)
In the AES logs I can find the following entries that correspond with the time the TSAPI application receives the route end event:
15:20:00 ERROR:FYI:asailink:hold_message:Association crv(04, ffffff80) does not exist, and received RELCOM(5a)
15:20:00 ERROR:FYI:asailink:hold_message:No application for message -- ABORT crv(04, ffffff80) on node signal33 TSAPI AES/1
Any idea what the AES error code is? Is it an indication of route select request not reaching the CM because of some communication failure?
As mentioned, this only happens for some of the calls, and it does not appear to be a load issue, as CLAN traffic has been checked and it does not seem to reach max limit. Also there are no alarms on the CM.
Any help much appreciated. Thank you.

Hi John,
I've ran into problem while translating my solution into code.
When I do it in the TSAPI Exerciser it works.
The steps are as follows:
use cstaMakeCall to dial the number
on call established notification, use attSendDTMFTone and csta EscapeService to send the first string of tones,
then on CSTA_ESCAPE_SVC_CONF event use attSendDTMFTone and csta EscapeService to send the second string of tones.
The problem is that when I do this in my code I get an error when sending the second string of tones.
the error is: "INVALID_OBJECT_STATE (22) (CS0/98, CS3/63) The service is requested on a call that is currently receiving switch-provided tone, such as dial tone, busy tone, ringback tone, intercept tone, Music-on-Hold/Delay, etc. The call must be in an established state in order to send DTMF tones."
Any idea why this is happening? I have also tried pausing for a couple of seconds before sending the second round of DTMF tones, but I still get the same error.

Hi John,
In the end I've managed to put a solution together by sending DTMF tones.
I've also noticed the digit duplication and it seems this is due to the call recording software, as it causes another internal station to join in the call.
However, I've found a work around this.
The solution is a bit clumsy, but at least I have a solution.
Thanks.

I need to do the following using TSAPI:
dial number
pause (a prompt is being played)
dial number
pause
enter code
wait for tone
dial number
If possible I would like to do this in one step, for example using cstaMakeCall.
I've tried building a string out of the numbers and codes I need to dial, separated by commas (,), as in:
0123456789,0123456789,1122,0987654321
but it only seems to dial the first number (I get an established notification) and then the call disconnects (I believe the prompt is being played).
Is there a special character or something I can put in the called device that would be interpreted as 'pause'.
Would this even be possible using TSAPI? AES 4.2, CM 5.2.1
Any suggestions much appreciated.

Thanks John.
I'll open a tech case.
I think initially I would only need to know what list command to run to check that the CM displays the ports available.

In the TSAPI Exerciser I'm using the Escape Service with attQueryCallClassifier and it returns Ports Available: 0, Ports In Use: 0.
When I use make predictive call request (originating from a VDN) specifying private params such as max number of rings, AMD treatment, it seems that the call progress is not analyzed. For example, if the max number of rings is set to 4, the dialed number keeps ringing and the call is not cleared after 4 rings, as expected.
AES is 4.2, CM 5.2.1 (on G450).
Apparently, there are call classifier boards installed in the switch, but it looks like the CM is not making use of them.
Any idea where to look and what traces to run to determine where the problem is?

Hi John,
I'm using TSAPI, so cstaMakeCall.
It seems that I'll have do just do it one at a time.
Thanks.

Hello,
Is it possible to add or remove more than one skill at the same time using the format below or similar?
If I need to add more than one skill, will I have to do it in as many steps?
Thanks

There is a firewall, but port 450 is open. As TSTest displays the TLink, I assume the application can connect to the server on port 450.
Also I've tried telnet to the server on port 450 and it works.
But still when I enter unsername/password and try a dial test from TSTest I get the error mentioned in my original message.
Are there any other ports or network settings that I should have a look at?
Many thanks.

That's part of the problem. The acsOpenStream request doesn't even get to the server. So I'm guessing it must be some network related problem, not necessarily relevant only for CVCT, but for AES as well.
Just thought Avaya may have some general guidance on how to configure the network (firewall, NAT, etc) to ensure connectivity to AES or CVCT.
Thanks.

I'm trying to connect to an Avaya CVCT server using the TSTest application (and the Avaya TSAPI Exerciser) and I get "acsOpenStream() failed. Stream encountered an unspecified error (-9)". Error -9 is ACSERR_UNKNOWN.
The TSTest lists the TLink name, so I guess it can connect to the TServer on port 450.
Are there any other ports that need to be "open" for TSAPI communication, or any other network related issues that can cause the error above?

Hi John,
Thanks for the clarification.
The things you mentioned about private data versions and new features make perfect sense.
However, when I asked this question in the past I was told SDK and client version should match, hence my uncertainty.
I think the following TSAPI FAQ should be changed so that it is a bit clearer.
"In order to develop software applications using Telephony Services API (TSAPI), is it necessary to have the same version for the TSAPI SDK and the TSAPI Client? "
https://devconnect.avaya.com/secure/faq/d_faq.jsp?f=1&s=200#s200

Camelia

Well it seems that a TSAPI Client 4.2.3 has not been released, as the 4.2.2 should be used with AES 4.2.3, BUT:
I've downloaded 3 versions of the TSAPI Client for the AES 4.2:
tsapi-client-win32-4.2-267 (corresponds to my version of the SDK procured via DevConnect)
tsapi-client-win32-4.2-338
tsapi-client-win32-4.2-451
Has a corresponding SDK been released for 4.2.338 and 4.2.451? If so are we supposed to get (buy) the SDK again in order to avoid any potential issues?

To be a bit more specific will my TSAPI application build with TSAPI SDK 4.2.0.267 be compatible with Avaya TSAPI Client 4.2.3?
