Hi,
We setup two webchat queues in EMC. One is to handle Traditional Chinese and another is to handle English.
But in the agent configuration setting, there is one field called "Agent Specific Welcome Message" for setup the welcome message. May I know how I can display the default welcome message for these two queues with corresponding languages shown?
Thanks,
Jess

Thanks for your information.
As our customer does not need to input anything in the default page, is it possible that we merge the default.aspx and conversation.aspx into single page and show the conversation page directly?

We are using the library provided by EMC Developer. Below is the coding for your reference. We answer the call in EMC desktop but callstate returend is "Alerting", not "Connected"
AgileSoftware.Developer.ASXMLStation m_pASXMLStation = null;
AgileSoftware.GUIHost.ITelephony telephonyPlugin = GetPluginInstance<ITelephony>();
if (telephonyPlugin != null)
{
m_pASXMLStation = (AgileSoftware.Developer.ASXMLStation)telephonyPlugin.XMLStation;
if (m_pASXMLStation != null)
callstate = m_pASXMLStation.GetCallByCallAppearance(1).CallState;
}
#region public function TPluginType GetPluginInstance<TPluginType>()
public TPluginType GetPluginInstance<TPluginType>()

Object pluginObject;
string typeVersion;
try
{
if (m_pPIMBroker.GetObjectReference(typeof(TPluginType).FullName,
null,
out pluginObject,
out typeVersion) == ErrorCode.NoError)
{
if (pluginObject != null)
{
return (pluginObject as TPluginType);
}
else
{
m_pPIMBroker.ErrorLogging.AddErrorToListFatal("AgileSoftware.ASSurveyTransfer.GetPluginInstance - object returned was null value.");
return null;
}
}

}
}
catch (Exception ex)

return null;
}
return null;
}

We can. But want to make sure this is the only way. In the past, we can update one file for all applications but now we need to update for every application.
Also, the database password in the web.xml is encrypted. How can I encrypt the password and modify the web.xml file directly?

Yes. I am upgrading DD 5.0 to OD 7.0. As we have development database server, I am finding a way to change the database connection information without compiling the code again and change it in the application server directly. Do you have any suggestion?

Hi all,
When I use DD 5.0, I can change the database information, e.g. DB server IP and login information, in the <tomcat path>\conf\context.xml. After after I upgrade to OD 7.0, I find that the DB info cannot be change in this way, I need to modify the configuration in <application folder>\web-inf\web.xml. Is it true for OD 7.0?
Thanks,
Jess

I have checked the setting as attached. Does it mean that the report framework is not enabled? As I still find some connections between application and VPMS, does it mean that this traffic is default and cannot be disabled?

Hi all,
My customer finds that there is traffic between Weblogic and VPMS server and asks why Dialog Designer application needs to communicate with VPMS. Do anyone know what kind of traffic for this?
Thanks,
Jess

Is this process called ADR?
Application Logging Web Services for Application Detail Records (ADR) are generated by applications written with Avaya s Dialog ’ Designer development tool and pushed via a web service to the EPMS after application sessions terminate. The EPMS stores this data in the vpApplog table in the EP reporting database.I have never seen customer using authentication for this

Do you mean that reporting in VPMS is a must and we cannot stop the DD application to do so?
In our situation, we only have one VPMS server. Do we still have backup in this case? If no, what's the impact on the application?
