Thanks. I did see that method in the code after poking around, but our applications don't appear to directly reference those methods. I'm wondering if there's something else I should be looking at. I'll open up a ticket nevertheless.

I understand that you can set the report level to pick up on VPMS by application (NONE, INFO, WARNING, ERROR, FATAL). Currently for one application, it is set to INFO, but literally every trace is put into the report. As a result, one call could have hundreds of entries which is causing space constraints in our database.
My question is - In the application itself, where do we specify what entries get put into the Report logs? We want to maintain reporting, but set the garbage records into a 'DEBUG' or level that doesn't get sent to the reports.

When the module was provided to us, it's name was simply RDM.war. I'm afraid I don't have much more information than that - I do have an open SR to get more information on it.
As far as the input, it looks like the caller may have input an asterisk:

We use an Avaya provided RDM (reusable dialogue module) to receive and process speech/grammar inputs. In one of our applications, the module is inexplicably erroring on a number format error on the setExit node within the module, which is returning an error for the application.

As a result it's 1)blowing up my vpapplogs or 2)routing calls to default handling. Would like to correct #2, which will help in resolving #1

Hi All. Have an OD6 developed app that I'm trying to refactor in OD7. when I import the project and update an explosion of errors come up for most of my audio variable prompts.
Audio variables cannot be used by a prompt unless the localization bundle and standard phrases for the language have been installed.
The problem is I've checked and rechecked and both my english and spanish localization bundles AND standard phrases are installed. I've tried everything and checked every forum on the internet to no avail. Any ideas?

» Retain App Settings for AEP6 to 7 Upgrade?, 17/02/2015 09:43:27

Apologies if this has been answered before; checked around the forums and google and wasn't able to find a definitive answer.
We're upgrading our systems from AEP6x to 7.0.1. We have to do a fresh install of the Avaya Linux OS in addition to the software upgrade. With that in mind - Is there ANY way to retain the application settings and perhaps import them back after the upgrade is done? If so, is this documented somewhere that I might be able to review?
We have over 30 applications installed with several DNIS' attached to each, and three instances of voice portal that we'll have to do this on. the number of time it will take to add all of the configuration back in is too damn high. :)
Thoughts?

I'm late for this conversation but we are on Tomcat 6, with OD6 applications and have experienced the same issue after a restart. This would be a restart of the Tomcat service on a Windows 2k3 or 2k8 server. I've never understood why the xml clears out but as a quick fix we take a copy from another server

Thank you

Hi all,
Running several OD 6 applications on Tomcat 6 hosted on a cluster of virtual Win 2003 and 2008 servers. We have one particular module that serves as a transfer service for all of our applications. Nothing in the environment, nor applications have changed, but we have noticed a spike in the number of transfer failures, with a 'error.badfetch.http.404' output as the return code string from the transfer module.
We've engaged Avaya support to check the MPP logs but they're saying everything is fine from the MPP perspective - and that the problem comes from the app srv side. We've had our windows engineering team look at the servers and have not seen anything that would indicate an issue.
This does not happen to 100% of the calls, only about 10% or less. However, it was ~1-2% only a week ago and suddenly we're seeing the increase. Does anyone have any ideas as to what else we can possibly look at to find root cause?

Hi all,
We have 35-40 WAR deployed apps running on Tomcat on a Windows app server cluster, with a handful of those apps receiving traffic per each server.
Lately we've been seeing an increase in CPU utilization for our servers. We want to find a tool that can help us determine which processes are consuming so much CPU power, and how frequent those processes are running, etc. Are there any tools you all can recommend?
Perfmon and something like JConsole only seem to monitor the Tomcat executable, but we need something more app-specific.
