DevConnect supports application development using the following Customer Interaction Express interfaces:

Telephony Object Model API

The Telephony Object Model (TOM) is an interface that provides exclusive telephony functionality for client applications. The TOM architecture is based on the COM technology and provides a CORBA interface. The TOM server, which implements the Telephony Object Model, is a windowless component completely running on the client machine. Client applications and/or GUI components can be built using the components of the TOM server.

Note: TOM interface was available in older versions. CIE3.1 is the latest version which supports TOM

CIE Web Services

The Web services interface was introduced in Customer Interaction Express Release 3.0 Service Pack 2. The Web services collection, incorporating the Directory, Management and Monitoring Web services, Task- and UMR Web services, is included in the Web services SDK. The SDK is available on the Customer Interaction Express DVD image-(ISO). Note that the CIE Web Services are NOT currently supported by DevConnect.
