Release 6.1

IP Office Release 6.1 was made generally available in November 2010; the latest quarterly maintenance release was issued in April 2012. This is NOT the latest IP Office release; the latest release is recommended for new development.

Features in the new release

IP Office Release 6.1 includes the following new and enhanced features:

  • IP Office can now installed from a single DVD containing the Linux operating system (OS) and key communications applications.
  • Avaya one-X Portal for IP Office features a newly-designed, customizable interface with drag and drop application gadgets.
  • Improved contact center reporting based on each customer's location.
  • Support for multi-point HD videoconferencing with up to 4 parties.
  • Multiple office sites can now be managed from one consolidated interface using a single log-in.
  • Interoperability with Business Communications Manager Release 6.0 using standard SIP trunking protocols.
  • Support for 1220, 1230, 1120E and 1140E IP deskphones
