Release 10.2

Avaya Aura Communication Manager Release 10.2 was made generally available in December 2023 as part of Avaya Aura Platform Release 10.2. This is the latest release of Communication Manager and is recommended for new development.

New in Release 10.2

Communication Manager 10.2 includes the following new and enhanced capabilities:

  • VMware vSphere ESXi 8.0 and VMware vCenter Server 8.0 support in a VMware virtualized environment
  • Trellix AV (fka McAfee) software deployment support in a virtualized environment to detect, prevent, and eliminate malware threats
  • Support for J139, J159, J189, and J189CC endpoints
  • Ability to configure edge topology for Cloud deployment
  • Line Load Control (LLC) feature enhancements providing an option to implement two-factor authentication for LLC setup, and the ability to limit the scope of LLC at the organizations site level
  • Support to record the call originated from bridged line appearances
  • Mask CLI and Station Name capability support on outgoing calls using SIP phones
  • Alert for internal users with an audible tone during external communications
  • STIR/Shaken support for verification level display on phones
  • Discontinued support of legacy technologies including:
    • G650 or any cabinet/Gateway that connects to Communication Manager using IP Server Interface (IPSI)
    • VMware ESXi version 6.7 or lower
    • Avaya Device Adapter Snap-in

Call Detail Recording

Beginning in Release 8.1.2, TLS Encryption has been added for the Communication Manager SAT interface, enabling encryption of CDR data for primary and secondary CDR devices using the TLS protocol. See Chapter 53 for detailed information about the Call Detail Recording interface:
