Licensing

Required Licenses

Depending upon your use of AE Services, you may need to obtain different types of licenses for Communication Manager and for AE Services. For full information on licensing, please refer to the Avaya Aura Application Enablement Services Overview and Specification, which you can download under the Releases, Downloads - Product Overview tab for the release of AE Services you are using.

AEP Licenses: As of AE Services 5.2, an Application Enablement Protocol (AEP) is no longer discretely licensed in AE Services. This capability is provided to all licensed systems.

Obtaining Licenses

DevConnect Technology Partners and Testing-enabled Registered Members can acquire the required Communication Manager and AE Services licenses via the Procurement option. All other members should contact an authorized Avaya Business Partner or their Avaya Account Executive to obtain the licenses.

Notice of System Management Service (SMS) Licensing Changes

Release 5.2
Beginning in AE Services 5.2, SMS is no longer discretely licensed in AE Services. This capability is provided to all licensed systems.

Releases 4.1 and 4.2
SMS is a licensed feature in AE Services releases 4.1 and 4.2. SMS is licensed on a per simultaneous Communication Manager access/session basis.
