Avaya Aura Application Enablement Services (AE Services) Release 4.2.2 was made generally available in June 2009. This is NOT the latest AE Services release and is out of support. The latest release is recommended for new development.

New In This Release

AE Services Release 4.2.2 is a key component of the Avaya Aura architecture, where it provides application enablement services for Avaya Aura Communication Manager and Avaya Aura Communication Branch (via the TSAPI and JTAPI Clients). AE Services release 4.2.2 includes:

  • New releases of all AE Services server software, SDKs and Clients
  • Support for IBM Sametime 8.0.2
  • Support for Microsoft OCS 2007 R2
  • JTAPI SDK sample applications have been updated to use Swing rather than applets
  • Bug fixes for AE Services 4.0, 4.0.1, 4.1, 4.2 and 4.2.1
  • Support for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.0 Update 7
  • Compatibility with the following Bundled Servers:
    • IBM x306 (S8500B)
    • IBM x306m (S8500C)
    • Dell 1950 (S8510)
  • A new CSTA private error code has been added for DMCC clients to resolve a request timeout when the request contains invalid UTF-8
