Release 4.2.3

Avaya Aura Application Enablement Services (AE Services) Release 4.2.3 was made generally available in September 2009. This is NOT the latest AE Services release and is out of support. The latest release is recommended for new development.

End of Sale & Support Notice Effective May 10th, 2010, Avaya Aura Application Enablement Services, Release 4.2 and earlier releases – including all corresponding dot releases of 4.2.x are End of Sale. Features in the new release

AE Services Release 4.2.3 is a key component of the Avaya Aura architecture, where it provides application enablement services for Avaya Aura Communication Manager and Avaya Aura Communication Branch (via the TSAPI and JTAPI Clients). AE Services release 4.2.3 includes:

  • AE Services bundled server release now supports the Avaya S8800 Server (the IBM System x3550 M2), which includes the following hardware:
    • Intel Xeon Quad Core processor E5520 at 2.26 GHz
    • 4 GB RAM
    • 4 NIC ports
    • 2 x 2.5" SAS 146 GB hard drives
    • RAID 1 BR10i controller
    • 1 DVD R/W
    • 675 watt power supply
  • AE Services 4.2.3 is not a bug fix release. The main purpose of the release is to support the Avaya S8800 Server. Therefore, the software-only server, clients and SDKs have not been re-released. AE Services Release 4.2.2 contains the latest software-only, client and SDK releases.
