DevConnect Technology Partners and other test-enabled members with commercial solutions that utilize or interface with Avaya platforms to provide end customers with key communications and collaboration functionality may be eligible to undertake DevConnect Compliance Testing.
Successful completion of DevConnect Compliance Testing provides Avaya customers, sales/channels and support personnel with important configuration information, published in the form of a DevConnect Application Note, to aid in deployment and troubleshooting of joint solutions.

Acoustic Headset Testing
Beginning with SIP Software Release 6.3 for Avaya 96x1 Series (9601, 9608, 9611G, 9621G and 9641G) IP deskphones, Avaya introduced a series of predefined "acoustic headset profiles" for use with headsets. The ability to select a specific acoustic headset profile for use with a particular headset ensures that the acoustic performance of the deskphone and the vendor’s headset are ideally matched to provide a best-in-class audio experience.
In addition to regular DevConnect Compliance Testing, Technology Partners with headsets that connect to 96x1 Series SIP deskphones via the headset jack may submit their headsets to DevConnect for Acoustic Headset Testing using a selected profile. As a prerequisite to Acoustic Headset Testing, the headset with the appropriate adapter/cord must already have been DevConnect compliance tested with 96x1 Series SIP deskphones using SIP Release 6.1 or later software. Note that USB headsets are not eligible for Acoustic Headset Testing because a default acoustic headset profile is automatically assigned to them and cannot be changed.
Upon successful completion of Acoustic Headset Testing, Avaya will identify the vendor and the model number of the headset, along with the recommended profile, in the Compatibility Table in the Avaya 96XX Series IP Deskphone and H100 Video Collaboration Station Headset Profiles document, available on the Avaya Support site. The DevConnect Application Note describing compliance testing of the headset with 96x1 Series SIP deskphones will also be updated to indicate that the headset has been acoustically tested by Avaya and to reference the document on the Avaya Support site.
Requests for Acoustic Headset Testing must be submitted directly to your Avaya DevConnect Business Development Manager (BDM).
Note: DevConnect Technology Partners will be invoiced separately for Headset Acoustic Testing and may not use regular DevConnect Compliance Test Days to cover the testing.
