Avaya IP deskphones with a display that incorporates a Web browser support the Web API. The Web API enables users to view Web pages written in Wireless Mark-up Language (WML). The WML pages may contain static content or provide the user interface for Web-based applications. The Web API supports Wireless Telephony Application Interface (WTAI) features, such as click-to-dial and add-to-contacts. Client applications can push WML pages to the deskphone using the Push API's Display push type, or users can "pull" WML pages to deskphone by navigating and selecting links from the browser's home page.
